Provider relations letter

A letter template addressed to an insurance carrier’s provider relations representative. It states that the practice’s contract is nearing term or has expired, notes roughly how many of the carrier’s members the office has served, and requests a meeting to discuss fee schedule increases for the next term. A customizable section lists quality improvement measures the practice has put in place.

Send it ahead of a contract renewal, when the office manager or owner wants to open fee negotiations with a PPO. Fill in the carrier name, dates, and patient count from your own reports and edit the bullet points to reflect what your office actually does.
