Mobile phone policy for employees
A mobile phone policy for employees, on office letterhead. It prohibits personal calls, emails, and texts while on duty unless they relate to the practice, and asks staff to give family the office number for emergencies. It requires sick calls to be made by phone rather than text and says employees should never text or share patient information from their phones.
Hand it to new hires with the employee handbook and have each team member sign and date a copy for their file. Office managers can reissue it when phone use becomes a problem, so everyone hears the same rule at the same time and the signed copies show who received it.
